Muchea
Opening
A pen of
purebred Gelbvieh and Gelbvieh
composite steers which
achieved the top price at the first
sale at the new Muchea Livestock
Center in WA on May 3rd 2010.
The line
of 12 steers were offered by the
Pugh Family, Summit
Gelbvieh stud, Narrikup, as the
first pen in the landmark sale and
were 100 day grain fed steers which
averaged 430kg at $4.11/kg.

The $5000 top price Gelbvieh bull at
the 2010 Summit Gelbvieh on-property
bull sale in March.
Summit Diesel, a pure bred Black
Gelbvieh was sired by JRI Black n
Stacked. With him is Top price buyer

The Mowag Gelbvieh stud, Morowa, had
a good sale at the Gingin Multibreed
bull sale in March
selling to a top of $3250. Mowag

composite bull sold for $4000 at the
Summit Gelbvieh bull sale.

2009

Glendale
Gelbvieh stud co-principal Michelle
Flemming,
Serpentine, with her awards from the
National Beef
Carcase Competiton at Beef Australia
2009 held in
Rockhampton, QLD.
The
Glendale stud took out the award for
the overall
champion carcase with a purebred
Gelbvieh steer as well
as the ANZ bank achievement award
for the highest
scoring pen across the board.
There
were 438 cattle entered into the
competition nationwide.
